Dr. Goodrich works on quantum algorithms that can unlock advantages over classical algorithms. He is particularly interested in end-to-end quantum algorithms that explicitly account for data-loading and measurement overheads and still achieve speedups over classical algorithms. Topics of interest include problems in information assurance and security, networking, graph theory, computational geometry, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. He has over 400 peer-reviewed publications and has contributions to efficient solutions to a number of fundamental problems, including sorting, convex hull construction, nearest-neighbor searching, linear programming, privacy-preserving data access, network traceback, and data authentication.
