The University of California Noyce Initiative has announced the award of three Quantum Information Science Awards for collaborations involving EQI faculty and other UC faculty.
The three projects are:
1. “Quantum Sensing of Reactive Oxygen Species in Microdroplets and Sub-cellular Organelles” by Ashok Ajoy, UC Berkeley; Adam Abate, UCSF; Nicholas Curro, UC Davis; Peter Burke, UC Irvine
2. “Scaling Ion Trap Quantum Computers with Photonic Integrated Circuits” by Andrew Jayich, UCSB; Hartmut Haeffner, UC Berkeley; Marina Radulaski, UC Davis; Maxim Shcherbakov, UC Irvine
3. “Realizing the Full Potential of Diamond Quantum Sensors” by Shimon Kolkowitz, UC Berkeley; Ania Bleszynski Jayich, UCSB; Javier Sanchez-Yamagishi, UC Irvine
